Collard Festival in Maxton, N. C.

Hello All Checkers Players
The Maxton Community will host their "Annual Collard Festival" this coming Saturday, November 9, 2024 starting at 10:00 A. M.
This event will take place at Beacham Park in Maxton, N. C. and the address is 400 W. Carolina Street., Maxton, N.C. 28364.
There will be lots of fun activities going on here that day but the main fun event for everybody is the preparation and eating of collards.
On this day you will see collards prepared in all of their normal fashions but you will also see them prepared in ways that you have never seen before.
Also (PLEASE TAKE NOTICE) the Maxton CHECKER PLAYERS will be gathering here on that day and they are inviting and welcoming all checker players from anywhere and everywhere to come out and join them for a good time.
   They want YOU, YOU and YOU to come out prepared to eat collards, have fun and play checkers.
   We want to see your face in the place.
