Jacksonville club joins A.P.C.A. 2nd oldest player turns 90

Hello All
   The players of the “Jacksonville Pool Checker Club” in Jacksonville, Florida have decided to become officially affiliated with the A.P.C.A and I want to take this opportunity to welcome them.
   I have had the opportunity to visit that club many times and play there and it is always a pleasant experience.
   Their best player “Mr. Odell Brite” will be 90 years old on tomorrow April 14, 2023.
   He is a former marine and a really nice person and the second oldest player in the club; but what impresses me most is that he is still a student of the game.
   He studies checkers from books as well as from the computer and plays me really tough every time I see him.
Since Odell is the best checker player in Jacksonville and plays me so hard, I’m asking all checker players to join me in wishing him a “HAPPY BIRTHDAY”.
Maybe our good wishes will appease him and get him to lighten up when he plays me.
   HAPPY BIRTHDAY Brother Odell, May you continue to be blessed and enjoy many more.
